Sign up for NYC Care!

Since 2020, CIANA has helped enroll more than 500 New Yorkers in NYC Care, a free and low-cost health access plan for New York City residents who cannot pay or do not qualify for most types of healthcare, including Medicaid.

Offered through NYC Health + Hospitals, NYC Care is designed especially for immigrants who cannot apply for healthcare due to their immigration status.

Anyone can apply for NYC Care, regardless of immigration status. The application does not ask for social security number, proof of legal status, or any immigration documents.

NYC Care is:

  • Safe: NYC Care guarantees access to a variety of medical services across the five boroughs.

  • Confidential: Your personal information will not be shared with anyone, and your immigration status does not matter at all.

  • Easy to apply: Far fewer documents are needed to apply for NYC Care than for other healthcare plans.

  • Affordable: Discounts and the amount you pay are based on household size and income.
